But point is that the prophecy doesn't include killing a loved one. If you're going with the whole Jon/Mel thing then Mel could represent the fire I guess. So the prophecies say nothing about killing someone you love. When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone. And that sword shall be Lightbringer, the Red Sword of Heroes, and he who clasps it shall be Azor Ahai come again, and the darkness shall flee before him." In this dread hour a warrior shall draw from the fire a burning sword.

I try to gather all the proofs that suggest that Jon Snow is Azor Ahai. "In ancient books of Asshai it is written that there will come a day after a long summer when the stars bleed and the cold breath of darkness falls heavy on the world. Jaime arrives to confess his crime to the Lady of Winterfell, but Arya finds use. The ORIGINAL Lightbringer was tempered with the blood of Nissa Nissa, but the prophecy says nothing of that. "This would satisfy the AA prophecy of tempering the sword with the blood of a woman he loves, turning Longclaw into Lightbringer." And it would be a mind-blowing GRRM caliber main character death. This means she might be the character who fulfills the prophecy of Azor Ahai, aka the Prince That Was Promised. It would also satisfy Mel's prediction of her and Arya meeting again. Arya Stark killed the Night King in the climactic moment of the Battle of Winterfell. This would satisfy the AA prophecy of tempering the sword with the blood of a woman he loves, turning Longclaw into Lightbringer. Without giving it much thought, he drives his sword through the attacker's heart, who then turns back into Arya. Jon Snow witnesses the attack - some random going after his pocket priestess - and rushes to her aid. Since the Red Woman is on Arya's list, what if she attacks Mel in the future while disguised. (plus it was Stannis after all that gave the go-ahead for the burning). Davos will be very upset about Shireen, but I feel he's too loyal to attack Mel without Jon's consent, and Jon probably finds Mel decently useful. But Mel had foreseen that she'd meet Arya again, and how would all this work? Let's forget about Davos or Jon taking out Mel for a sec. Or that Jon will kill Mel and that will create Lightbringer. So I thought of this just now while reading people's theories on how Mel might get killed by Davos. What we know about Azor Ahai is frankly quite little, the prophecy is very short and very vague, and this has caused theories to be put out there for Dany.
